Upcoming Projects

So Chris has a new found ambition to finish parts of the house before October rolls around and we won't have time or energy to do anything else besides tending to the new family member.

He had his lambda family line over for St. Patty's day so his goal for that was to cover the basement ceiling. He finished 3/4 of it before the big day. (I'll post pix soon) The corned beef turned out pretty good too. So after the last 1/4 is covered, he'll probably paint the bare wood black and the walls some color. I'll have to take a weekend off with the paint fumes. Anyone want to take me on a weekend getaway? *wink* So the plan is to use part of the basement as the guest room. Right now a corner has the tv projector, another part has a dining table, another part has a table with poker chips waiting, and a futon. Oh yeah, tool storage as well.

Earlier this month we got a new stove, dish washer, and microwave/hood. The kitchen is next on the list. New cabinets and counter top. That should be done in the next month I think. We'll try anyway. It requires some duct work for the hood. Right now the current fan sticks out way to far from the wall and sits in between the fridge and stove. I think Chris plans to cover the hole and redirect the duct in the attic to move the hole over the stove. Fun fun fun.

And for some reason the porch light is intermittent so maybe when his parents come up next week, his dad can take a look at it. Thanks Daddy. =)
