Updates
Not much going on these days. The rain hinders our mood to work. We're done with all the major stuff inside the house anyway. Here's a few things we've done...
- installed transitions between flooring types... hardwood to tile
- cut & paint remaining baseboards in bathrooms
- spackle and paint behind light fixture in the hallway bathroom
- installed a new toilet paper holder & glass shelf in the bathroom
- paint an old bathroom stand white.
I bought a deck and outdoor living book from costco with lots of pretty pictures of backyards and decks. Its supposed to be inspiration. I think its working. Once it stops raining we'll think of layouts and stuff. We also want to get the driveway and basement done too. And get rid of the mud room and turn it back into a porch. *sigh* Lots to do, lots to do. Donations are still welcome. *wink*
I planned out and priced out a new kitchen if we went with Ikea. Ah, to dream. Maybe one day. But I just got a new job so one day may be sooner than never. Woo hoo!!
Latest rants:
- The awning leaks at the back door. Don't know why. We'll check when it dries up.
- A neighborhood dog poops in our driveway in the same spot every week. TO ALL DOG OWNERS... pick up your crap!!
- We've decided that 'bump in the night' is the hot water going through the pipes makes them rub against the frame so it makes a bumping noise. Just gotta live with it.
- We think the house is cursed. Even doing the smallest thing like nailing in a piece of transition wood can't work the first time, it has to leave a mark or something. Screws don't like going in all the way, it'd rather make the baseboard bulge away from the wall. Its seriously testing Chris' blood pressure.
